Happy hunting…

Easter egg hunting that is Smile  About 48o and partly cloudy…hey at least it’s not snowing or raining.  The wind calmed down from  the gale force winds of yesterday.  All in all can’t complain. (well)

easter

Sure been a fun couple of weeks…with a shot in the eye, tooth pulled and a couple of cavities filled!  Woohoo!  Another trip to the dentist next week and then finish off the week at the dialysis center with a PET test to see how PD is working.  Hoping at least the weather is nice so I can get out in the yard and pick up the dog crap from the winter as well as clean out the flower beds.  Would be more then happy to just get that accomplished this next week.

Did some indoor starter planting this week so when it get’s nice and stays can get some flowers and spices going outdoors.

Hallway and living room at last got painted…those were the last two rooms to complete re-painting of the entire indoors of the house.  Well…with the exception of a couple of ceilings that still need to be painted. Sad smile (really hate overhead painting with a passion)  One of  these days I’ll work up the energy to get it done.  Summers coming, time to be outdoors not in! Open-mouthed smile

Well I guess it’s about time to go do my afternoon PD exchange and then get the Prime Rib roast in the “set it and forget it” no ham this Easter!!!

Everyone have a wonderful Easter, I’ll see you soon…

April Fools...or not?

Not much of an April Fools, actually got a shot in the eye!  Of all the one's I've had, this one was the worst of all.  Could not see at all and it hurt like hell!  So I guess the April fools was on me...  Other than that it was a gorgeous day, 70 and mostly sunny a bit on the windy side, but even the wind was warm.  Stormed during the night, hell we needed the rain.  Now just hope it just keeps getting nicer!  Tomorrow the April fun continues with a visit to the dentist, woohoo!  Have a couple cavities that need to be filled and a loose tooth that needs to be yanked out, oh the fun I'm having this week!

Got seeds started indoors and then will transplant once the weather permits.  Going to try a few new things in the garden this year, hopefully it works out? Waiting for the yard to dry out so I can clean up the dog shit from 5 months of winter!  With two big dogs it is a substantial amount to clean up.  Once that's done can un-tarp the rest of the patio furniture and grill.  Time to get on the Spring-Summer schedule!  Need to clean up my truck from winter too!  5 months of snow, salt and sand have a tendency to build up as well.

Getting plants started indoors
Getting back to normal once again.
Getting the garage re-organized from winter as well.  Things are getting put back where they should be.   You know what, I don't mind a bit...I hate winter with a passion and I'm glad it's over with!
In his usual place...
Just need to keep the cat out of the plants!

2015 First update!

Sunday March 15, 2015:

Wow, can't believe how much time has passed since the last post.  I guess time flies.  Well where to start?  I guess the first place to start is with dialysis, gone from in center Hemo to at home PD. Sometimes I'm not so sure, went from 3 times a week to 7 days a week for 10 hours/day. Also have to do an afternoon exchange around 3pm each day as well. Plus have to have a butt load of boxes on hand, order supplies monthly and have a bunch of equipment and supplies in the bedroom.  Some days I get very depressed on the whole situation.  As this is not the only health issues, add in the IHB that raises it's ugly head from time to time, have to take insulin 4 times a day and poke my fingers as many times, swallow a handful of pills 3 times a day...oh what fucking fun!!!  Winter is going away (hopefully) but 3 weeks ago going out to get the mail, slipped in the street and tried to catch myself, did a good face plant in the middle of the street.  Messed up both knees pretty good, just starting to be able to walk normal once again.  Christ sake, think I was 65 instead of being 54?  Yeah, yeah I know there are people in worse condition and have more problems and should stop feeling sorry for myself...Well If you can't feel sorry for yourself once in a while then who can?  Have to go to the dentist next week and have a loose tooth pulled, probably a teeth cleaning done.  So let's add one more thing to the long list of problems.  Oh yes almost forgot the shot's in the eyes every 6 months for the macular degeneration.  woohoo!
Lots and lots of boxes...

Refinished!

Putting aside the health issues, I've been trying to stay busy with home improvement projects.  Removing carpet from the stairs and refinishing them...turned out very nice.  Have a few more projects on my list, updating the laundry shelving, redoing the pantry shelving, painting the living room.  Need to build my T-track project board, hopefully by then it will be time to start working out in the yard, cleaning up and planting flowers, plants and vegetables in the garden. Also need to do some shop organization and clean up from the winter.

Well this has been a very compact summary of the last 9 months, but this is about as good as it gets.  Will try to keep updates more often, but we all know that doesn't always happen as planned.  Best I can say is I will try, but no promises!

Oh yeah, nearly forgot that we've added  a cat to the population of 4 legged critters in the house hold...two large dogs and now a cat too!

The 4 legged kids...
Well that's about it for today, time to start working on updating the laundry area shelving.  Will try to take some photos and update when that project is completed...
